Service levels for Metso Minerals' slurry pumps

Metso Minerals provides spare- and wearparts and service for slurry pumps in both older ranges as Sala, Denver and Orion that have been replaced by modern designs & of the newer ranges launched by Metso Minerals and its predecessors.

Furthermore, hydraulic transportation represents a significant operational cost, which can be mini-mized by proper care of the equipment.
Long term field-testing has shown slurry pumps on severe duties can suffer loss of performance within a matter of weeks. However, by planned service and maintenance it is possible to extend the operational life of a pump, reducing energy consumption, and lowering the total operational costs.

Metso Minerals offers various programs for service and maintenance of slurry pump installations, regardless of the manufacturer, to improve operation uptime and reduce operating costs, wherever you are in the world.

Service level 1

Metso Minerals performs scheduled inspections on the installation at specific intervals. The inspection will provide information on wear on the installation and advice the customer on wear parts replacement intervals and necessary repairs, inspection reports will be issued after each inspection.

Service level 2

In addition to performing the service set forth under level 1, Metso Minerals undertakes to provide scheduled preventive maintenance on the installation. The Preventive Maintenance includes:

• Status control
• Functional control
• Adjustment to the installation

Supply and replacement of wear parts
Status control and functional control will be carried out as scheduled (recurring) controls. The object of the controls shall be to determine the need of replacement of Wear parts and planning of replacement intervals.

Service level 3

In addition to performing the service set forth under service level 1 and 2 above, Metso Minerals undertakes to provide repair services on the installation. Repair services will be initiated upon request from the Customer and are subject to a Reporting time Guarantee.

The repair services include the following:

• Fault-tracing
• Repairs
• Supply and replacement of spare parts
• Functional control after repair
