Continuous barge unloaders

Metso Minerals supplies various types of continuous barge (CBUs) and ship (CSUs) unloaders, utilizing single or double digging ladder arrangements to service all type of river, gulf and ocean vessels.



For high capacity unloading applications, CBUs and CSUs offer an economical, efficient unloading option when compared with alternate unloading methods.

The Metso Minerals continuous unloader feature a cleaner, less polluting operation with lower maintenance costs and power consumption. They provide an excellent overall unloading rate that allows faster barge and ship turnaround.

Our CBUs are designed in various configurations. The hinged (pivoted) ladder unloader provides optimum service for low water level fluctuation. The cantilevered single or double-laddered unloader accommodates level rise up to 50 feet. Both types can discharge a barge at a rate of 5,000 tons per hour and can be provided as either a stationary or traveling machine.
